Report: Gray injured inside police van
Thu Apr 30, 2015
I think he was already injured before they put him in the van. Look at the video -- his feet are dragging and he isn't moving his legs the whole time they are picking him up and moving him into the van. I don't see how you can miss that.
Ted Cruz 'the problem, not the solution'
Tue Mar 24, 2015
I think Ted Cruz is certifiably crazy or for his own reasons is trying to make himself appear to be. His beliefs and plans are frightening. But then, so are those of most of the Republican front runners, for that matter.
A refuge for women's history
Thu Mar 12, 2015
I hope that all the documents and memorabilia these people are handling without gloves are copies. Oils and dirt from bare hands is very damaging to historical documents, photographs, and such.
How did Obama handle Bergdahl prisoner swap?
Wed Jun 4, 2014
Rep. Blackburn is an idiot -- or at least she has the Republican talking points memorized and cannot deviate from them. Why bring up Benghazi when the subject is this specific deal and whether to leave a serviceman behind. Benghazi isn't relevant to this discussion. And why does Be …
'Distrust is really yet another form of inequality.' When poor moms don't trust anybody
Wed Jun 26, 2013
Gregory Glass, you are wrong. I went to school, as a single mom, back in 1969. The government paid for my tuition, fees, and books.
Justice Thomas: Black president 'approved by the elites, media'
Fri May 3, 2013
I didn't read all the comments so don't know if someone else already made this observation. It seems to me that if anyone got their position because they were approved of by the "elites" it was Clarence Thomas.
Mom on bus caught on cell phone video: 'I didn't toss my baby'
Sun Apr 14, 2013
The woman's behavior was certainly not appropriate but when I look at the video I don't see her "tossing" the baby. It looks to me like she handed the baby to someone who was across the aisle from where she was sitting.
Broke and ashamed: Many won't take handouts despite need
Sat Mar 23, 2013
So your aunt took welfare out of a desperate need but all those other folks taking welfare are just complacent and lazy.
Ethics required medical staff to do CPR, even if policy didn't, bioethicist writes
Mon Mar 4, 2013
I usually agree with Dr. Caplan but not this time. When my mother died, the 911 operator wanted me to perform CPR -- I refused. Of course, I know my mother's situation better than I know the one of the 87 year old but the basics are the same.
Nurse refuses to perform CPR despite 911 dispatcher's plea
Sun Mar 3, 2013
My mother was 97 when she died. She had a DNR and yet I had to call 911 (and by the way, Medicare doesn't pay for an ambulance to show up when the person is dead -- ask me how I know). That was the only way I could deal with all the issues.
